the things I bought in quarantine

desks for the children,
binders to corral their art,
hair dye in a box,
a basil plant,
a weighted blanket,
bottle(s) of melatonin,
$23 cinnamon rolls (“The Best In Sacramento”)*,
masks,
sanitizer,
knockoff airpods,
(expensive) vitamins for my (raging) PMS,
printer ink,
dry shampoo,
nine books by Black authors,
Lysol,
stamps,
a Spotify premium account,
one million dishwasher pods,
every kind of hand soap,
clearance scrunchies,
a kitchen whiteboard,
snack baskets,
more cereal,
air filters,
takeout from that fancy restaurant (the one with the good bread),
new plastic bins for the garage,
a journal for my morning pages,
and a $4 bouquet, just because.
