48 hours on the coast + dream jobs in another life

Do you ever think about what you would do if you were to make a sudden, 180-degree career pivot? Or what you would do if you had chosen a different major in college, or if you had taken a different job ten years ago and went down another path?

I don’t think of this often, but occasionally I wonder: If I had to start a new career tomorrow, what would I do?

Sometimes I dream of becoming an interior designer, or a real estate agent. I waitressed all through college but never worked in retail and sometimes I think it would be fun to work part-time in a bookstore (or Anthropologie—let’s be real, that discount would come in handy).

We stayed at the cutest house last weekend and I said to Brett for probably the 15th time, “I wish we could run an Airbnb!”

Someday, maybe.

My other secret dream job? I want to tag along on your family vacation and make videos like this for you:

Just think about it, okay? If you’re planning a trip to Hawaii and want someone to capture it, I can make myself available.

In the meantime, here’s a link to the house we stayed at in Aptos. I give it 6 out of 5 stars. New to Airbnb? This link will get you $30 off your first stay.
